Lisa Carey, Professional Certified Coach (PCC)

Lisa Carey, owner and president of Carey Coaching, is described by her clients as energetic, passionate, insightful and dynamic. Her clients' successes speak to Lisa's talent for motivating people. Prior to becoming a coach, Lisa served a 20-year career in the U.S, Navy, retiring at the rank of Commander. She has an extensive background in computers, communications and information security. During Lisa's career in the Navy she gained experience in anti-submarine warfare, manpower and personnel, security and anti-terrorism. Highlights from this time include being awarded Department of Defense Anti-terrorism program of the year in 1993, Command of Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station Washington, D.C., 1998 - 2000, First Chief Information Officer, Regional Information Technology Program Head, and Y2K Program Manager for Naval District Washington, D.C, 1998 - 2000. Her experiences in the Navy started her on the path to becoming a professional coach.

Strength in marketing, sales, strategic planning, business development, customer service and public speaking make Lisa an asset to her clients and colleagues. Coach Lisa Carey holds a Bachelor of Science in finance from the Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Science in management from Troy State. In addition, she maintains several important coaching certifications, including the International Coach Federation, Professional Certified Coach Designation (PCC). She is a graduate of Coach University, the Centre for Coach Training in Portland, Oregon. Lisa is also an authorized facilitator of the Parent as Coach Program) as well as Life Blueprint Coaching's, Now What? 90 Days to a New Life Direction. Lisa is a member of the International Coach Federation, Coachville, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Springfield (Virginia) Chamber of Commerce.
